Verse 144 from Surah An-Nisa
4:144An-Nisa · Verse 144
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَجْعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنًا مُّبِينًا
144. O you who believe! Take not for Auliyâ’ (protectors or helpers or friends) disbelievers instead of believers. Do you wish to offer Allâh a manifest proof against yourselves?

لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ ... النهي عن التخلّق بأخلاق المنافقين، الذين يتخذون الكافرين أولياءَ دون المؤمنين.
أَوْلِيَاءَ ... من علامات نقص التوكل وضعف الإيمان الانبهار بقوة الكفار وتوليهم من دون المؤمنين.
سُلْطَانًا مُّبِينًا ... موالاة الكافرين من أوضح أدلة النفاق، وفاعلها يجعل لله عليه حجة على عدم صدق إيمانه.

أَتُرِيدُونَ أَن تَجْعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنًۭا مُّبِينًا
