يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَذَرُوا۟ مَا بَقِىَ مِنَ ٱلرِّبَوٰٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
O you who believe! Be afraid of Allâh and give up what remains (due to you) from Ribâ (usury) (from now onward), if you are (really) believers.1

مَا بَقِيَ... إبطال الإسلام لعادات أهل الجاهلية، وما كانوا عليه من استحلال الربا.
إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِين... أكل الربا ينقص الإيمان، وفاعله مرتكب لكبيرة؛ ولا يكفر إلا إذا استحله.

الربا والإيمان لا يجتمعان، وأكثر بلايا هذه الأمة -حتى أصابها ما أصاب بني إسرائيل من البأس الشنيع والانتقام بالسنين- إنَّما هو مِن عملِ مَن عمِلَ بالربا. البقاعي: 1/541.

Total War against the Usurers
Having evoked an atmosphere of calm and peace, the sūrah makes a final passionate appeal to the true believers to eradicate usury and rid their society of it completely, or face a relentless war waged against them by none other than God Almighty and His Messenger:
"Believers, fear God and give up what remains outstanding of usury gains, if you are true believers. If...
The single most important problem of our time. Interest does generate so much injustice in this world. One a private level and on a global level. All economic transactions is nowadays connected to the interest. Everything is measured against the interest. All the devaluation we have is because of interest. All the hyper speed econonmy is because of interest.
